Artists of Mallorca Art Prize 2026

Friday 11 September was the launch of the Finalists Exhibition for the Artists of Mallorca Art Prize 2026.

It was a lovely evening, not too hot, finally. It was great to see so many people coming out to see the art and to vote, particularly when there was so much going on in Sóller.

I always say a few words, and had hoped to use a microphone, but the speaker had other ideas, and wouldn't connect properly. Fortunately, my voice carries so it wasn't too much of a problem.

The launch is a great time to meet artists I don't know, and to chat to those I've already met - the Final is not so relaxing, as everyone is nervous to know who will win.

I will be in the Museu de Sóller for the next 2 weeks, meeting all the people who come along to see the finalists and cast their vote for their favourite.
